【眩光】Little Dazzled Eyes
2003年夏、SARSが収束し学校が再開される。憧れの少年がメガネの子が好きだと知った少女は、彼の気を惹くために近視になろうとさまざまな手を試みる。疫病の脅威、崩れはじめた家族の絆と共に、少女の焦点はぼやけていく…。
『年少日記』で金馬奨助演男優賞にノミネートされたショーン・ウォンが、少年役で特別出演。本作はジョニー・トーが発起人となって創設された鮮浪潮（フレッシュ・ウェイブ）国際短編映画祭にて、スペシャル・メンション、観客賞を受賞。

Little Dazzled Eyes
It is the summer of 2003 and the SARS epidemic is easing so school resumes but this doesn’t ease the loneliness of Hau-ching, it sharpens it. When she overhears her class crush complimenting another girl on her glasses, she tries various tricks to become short-sighted to get a pair of her own and capture his gaze. Ironically, her efforts bring into focus her fraying family ties, particularly those with her mother whose night-time absences grow more disturbing.
Director CHUNG Yik-ching roots us in Hau-ching’s poignant search for love and companionship by contrasting the innocent appeals for attention in a bustling classroom with the messy relationships of adults and skilfully interweaving them together at a magical night-time finale when people truly look at her and see her.

my name is
Nito, a fifth grader, heads to the nurse’s office after getting hurt from fighting with the boys from class as they always do. There, they see their classmate Shiori and learn about her secret.
They open up to each other about their secrets, leading to mutual affection. However, they’re conflicted about feeling different from everyone else.
After losing their sense of belonging, they both sneak out of school to the lake where they can be their true selves.

Rooftop Lempicka
Thi is a precocious ten-year-old girl whose world begins to expand through glimpsing new aspects of womanhood. It tentatively begins with her possession of a book containing nude paintings by the Polish artist Tamara de Lempicka, and deepens through her brief friendship with Ngoc, a bar girl at a dance club who is a new lodger in the family home. Sensuous and often dressed sexily and seen with men, she offers a different type of female persona from Thi’s doting and conservative mother.
A universal coming-of-age story becomes unique through how delicately depicted Thi’s explorations are while the brief sights and sounds of Ho Chi Minh city breathe considerable life into the atmosphere.

Suzuki
A phone call from Su-min’s mother about his childhood bedroom transports him from his drab life as a Seoul officer worker to the year 2009 and his summer break as a middle school student living in the countryside. This was when Oasis broke up, Blur reunited and the Jisan Valley Rock Festival was held for the first time. For Su-min, this was his world and its richness was being added to every day by Suzuki, a mysterious friend on an internet forum who Su-min feels deeply connected to and wants to meet.
Director AHN Jung-min’s coming-of-age film, shot with melancholy dusk-time lighting, convincingly recreates the look and sound of the 2000s while evoking a reckoning with mortality and a universal sense of adolescent disenchantment and yearning to escape, the likes of which is almost forgotten by adulthood.
