Boxing Day
It’s a balmy summer day and nurse Cecily doesn’t clock off until 16:30. Until then, she does the rounds while listening to a radio. Her favourite patient, Ahno, is competing in a boxing tournament. As she cares for her patients, in her own special way, she listens in on the broadcast from the ring. Caught between her mind’s wandering and a collection of strange patients, an almost dreamlike atmosphere surrounds her, and amidst this, she sometimes reveals a little of her heart’s imaginings.
